Another round of fashion director Tetris as yet another luxury brand executive makes a power move. CEO Benedetta Petruzzo of Miu Miu accepted an offer to become the new managing director of Dior, effective October 15, 2024. This new role will have Petruzzo reporting directly to current Dior CEO, Delphine Arnault. This leaves two powerhouse women at the forefront of the Christian Dior. One can only wonder what the bigger picture may be for the luxury house’s future.
Petruzzo is no stranger to exceptional track records, as she oversaw significant growth at Miu Miu since 2020. The brand has also nearly doubled its revenue in the first half of this year.
Interestingly enough, comments from StyleNotCom Founder Beka Gvishiani predicts this move could shed light on a possible creative director change in the near future as well. “Similar-level moves in fashion often result in creative director changes.”
Only the future will tell if this shake up has a bigger picture in store.
